Season 6B of “Pretty Little Liars” will return to ABC on winter with a five-year time jump. There are still many questions left to be answered and the show has all of 14 more episodes on the current season to provide them.
There are reports that the show is likely to go on Season 7, but that has yet to be confirmed both by the showrunner and anybody from the cast members.
Set in the fictional town of Rosewood in Pennsylvania, “Pretty Little Liars” follows the lives of four girls Aria Montgomery, Hanna Marin, Emily Fields, and Spencer Hastings. Their group falls apart after the disappearance of their leader Alison DiLaurentis, played by Sasha Pieterse.
One year later, the estranged friends got reunited as they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure named ‘A’ who threatens to expose their deepest secrets, including the ones they thought only Alison knew. Initially, they thought that ‘A’ was Alison but when her body is found, they realized that someone else is planning on ruining their perfect lives.
“Pretty Little Liars” chronicles how the girls try to discover who ‘A’ really is and how do he or she knows so much about them. The ‘A’ plot is over so Season 6B would be a fresh start for the show in terms of plotline.
