“Pretty Little Liars” is a bit of a disturbing series, and it has a huge following of fans who are always excited for its next episode. The show is full of plot twists and very unexpected developments, and none of its characters are usually safe from danger. Blackmail is the main theme of the show, but lately it’s been getting a bit strange to think about who exactly is blackmailing who, as the writers of the show have taken it in a very unusual direction.
There are many different possibilities for how the show might play out in the future, and even though the main characters finally got some sense of relief after they managed to escape from being held captive in the house of “A”, they’re now back trying to find out who it is and why he or she is after them.
“She” is starting to look like the more likely version, as it’s recently been hinted that the mysterious character is in fact female. We don’t know what implications this could have for the plot in the future, but some fans were already guessing that this might be the case, and it was strongly implied when Aria saw what looked like a woman wearing the notorious black hoodie that we’ve come to associate A with.
Of course, the actual reveal of the character is probably still some time off, as it’s the main focal point of the plot right now and it would make the story a lot more boring. The identity of A should be kept a secret for a while, at least until the story reaches a point where the revelation won’t harm it too much and won’t take away any of the drama that the show’s fans have come to love it for.
There are a few days left until season 6 continues with episode 6, and the preview for it shows some interesting scenes, including a hint that A might be controlling or tracking the girls with the use of advanced technology. That wouldn’t be too far off from what the character has been shown as being capable of so far, and of course we didn’t really expect the girls to be completely free from A’s clutches after their dramatic escape.
We should also keep in mind that they did some damage to A themselves, so the stakes are now even higher. If A manages to get to them again, there will likely be no mercy this time, and the story will take a turn for the worst.
On the other hand, that would be a bit too much for the writers to do to their characters, but we don’t know what they might be planning. We’ve seen six seasons of the show already, and its characters have been established in certain ways, but we wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a character departing at some point.
It may not even be hinted at in advance, as the most dramatic kind of development in a TV show like that is typically to kill off a character without any kind of warning ahead of the event. And just because certain characters have been on the show for so long already, doesn’t mean that they’re immune – quite on the contrary, they’re probably in the greatest danger if the story gets to that point. Of course, it also matters what kind of show we’re talking about, as it’s true that “Pretty Little Liars” isn’t too fond of killing off important characters so far.
