Portuguese Astronomer Names Newly-Discovered Galaxy CR7 in Honor of Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is not the best football player in the world for nothing. While the Portuguese sensation was having a career slump after the winter break, which was probably brought forth also by his breakup with Russian model girlfriend Irina Shayk, Ronaldo has bounced back big time since.

He is playing like the Ronaldo again, the very same player who is the third highest-paid athlete in the world in the recent list from Forbes, next only to Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.

While Ronaldo’s road to the finals in La Liga BBVA seems to have a major obstacle in the Lionel Messi-led Barcelona FC team, Real Madrid and its fans are actually drawing on Ronaldo’s scintillating scoring records against Spanish teams including some of his most game-dominating performances in his career.

The head-to-head battle between Real Madrid and Barcelona is dubbed as the El Clasico that began way back in 1943. From the total of 229 matches between the two teams, Barcelona has won 108 of them while Real Madrid was victorious in 92 contests. The last time that the two teams faced each other was on March 23 this year which Barcelona won, 2-1.
