Pokemon GO Plus Delayed, Nintendo Announces Disappointing Quarterly Results!

Players haven’t stopped commenting on the title as well, bringing up various requests for features that can be added and ways for Niantic to make the game even more engaging. It’s clear that a lot more can be done with the base gameplay that’s been implemented so far, so the ball is in Niantic’s court at this point.

Some have also been calling for the studio to take a more active stance in battling cheating, as this has been becoming a serious issue in some ways. Various apps have come up on the market that give players an unfair advantage, for example showing locations that are more likely to contain valuable Pokemon.

It’s not exactly hard to implement something like that either, considering that “Pokemon GO” relies heavily on data from another game by Niantic, “Ingress”. Some players have reported that it’s even possible to simply download the latter title and use it for navigation.

Problems like these were to be expected, and it’s curious to think about how Niantic could resolve them. They’ve already been dealing with cheating in the form of GPS spoofing and other similar techniques, and according to most players, they should probably become more aggressive with their punishments against cheaters. In the end though, there’s only so much the studio can do when it comes to preventing cheaters from coming back to the game, plus their impact on the gameplay is not that harsh at the moment.
