AMC have given fans of “The Walking Dead” a little appetizer for the last four episodes of the show’s fifth season, revealing the plot summaries as well as episode titles for the rest of the season. Of course, the descriptions are vague enough that they don’t give away any serious information, but there could still be some potential minor spoilers ahead for those who haven’t been keeping up with the show lately, so proceed at your own risk!
In episode 13, which will be called “Forget”, well see Rick and the rest trying to get used to their new environment, and considering a return to “normalcy”. It’s not clear what this implies for the future of the group after they ventured into the safe-zone, but they might very well end up leaving it and going back to their previous lives.
In episode 14, “Spend”, the group will continue trying to look for a new home, but they will be met with some difficulties, and will start questioning what they’re doing and the situation they’ve gotten themselves into. Of course, the episode summary doesn’t say anything about what those challenges will be specifically, but there are a few possibilities that fans have been speculating on.
Then, in Episode 15, “Try”, life behind the walls of the safe zone will apparently start resembling that on the outside, leading the group to believe that their goal of living sheltered and in isolation might not be feasible after all. It has been speculated that we might even see the walkers infiltrating the safe zone in this episode, although this is just vaguely implied in the plot summary, nothing more.
And last but not least, in episode 16, titled “Conquer”, Daryl will get in trouble while trying to get away, while Rick and the group will continuously feel more and more isolated and like outsiders in Alexandria. Trouble will be getting closer to the safe zone as well, and all in all, it looks like the season is going to get a very dramatic conclusion.
Which will definitely be well-deserved after all fans got to see throughout the show so far. It would be great to see a solid, equally thrilling conclusion to the whole saga in season 5, and the producers have apparently planned it out quite carefully to make sure they’ll have a strong impact on their fans. It seems to be working already too, as there are lots of discussions about the last four episodes of the show’s fifth season online, and people are very eager to find out how the story will develop, and what challenges the characters will have to face.
