“Sherlock” managed to take an iconic story associated with deep mystery and intrigue, and give it a modern twist that drew in countless new fans, and the show is still going quite strong. It’s nothing short of a phenomenon in television, and if the producers manage to keep up the good work for the next seasons, they have a lot of potential for good success. From what’s been shown about the currently produced season 4, they seem to know exactly what fans are looking for – and they are also prepared to deliver to the fullest.
Recently, various teasers about the new season have been made, alluding to certain elements of the plot, and hinting about interesting new developments in the story. There seems to be something suspicious going on with Moriarty, for one thing – while the character appeared to die earlier in the show, there have been indications that he would be coming back in the next season. Fans have been wondering what this means – does it indicate that the writers have decided to revive the character, or has Moriarty managed to set up a plan to taunt Sherlock from beyond the grave?
Given the character’s way of doing things, the latter wouldn’t really be out of the question.
