PlayStation Plus, Sony’s premium subscription service, keeps moving forward, and players are already enjoying the current selection of free games and special offers. And like usual, those who want to have their say in what gets offered next now have a chance to do that through the community polls, which are regularly run in order to determine the next rotation of games.
The voting opened on August 13, and players who’re subscribed to the premium service can go to their notifications area on their dashboard and proceed to the voting page. As usual, there’s no real way to predict what’s going to get picked in the end, but fans have been discussing what game possibly deserves to be added to the collection of PlayStation Plus titles the most right now.
There are several choices available, including “Armello”, “Zombie Vikings”, as well as “Grow Home”. All games are quite interesting and have been around for a while, with “Armello” in particular enjoying a lot of popularity among fans of more artistic games. It adds an unusual twist to some classic board games, and has been said to be quite enjoyable even for players who don’t normally play board games.
“Zombie Vikings”, on the other hand, is a 4-player cooperative title that can offer a lot of humor and entertainment to players who love some solid action, especially for those who can find a group of people to play it with. “Grow Home” is a relatively new release on the platform, but it’s already a known name in the gaming industry as a whole and many players will find the gameplay quite familiar.
Players have apparently been finding it quite difficult to make their choice here, as all three games have something good to offer, and they all look like worthy candidates for the special deal. Of course, due to the way the system works, in the end players will only get one of the games for free, while the other two will be offered at a discount.
Some have been speculating that Sony would never actually choose “Grow Home” to be the freely offered game due to its relatively new state on their market. They will probably want to get some extra sales in before they start to give away the game for free, although that would imply that Sony are rigging their own votes behind the scenes.
And it’s probably safe to assume that this isn’t happening – gamers tend to react very strongly to scandals in their communities, and if something like this was to become known, it would surely spell the end of Sony’s good reputation.
There’s no real way to prove it one way or the other though, so we just have to trust Sony that all votes are legitimate and that players will pick a game that will satisfy everyone as much as possible. In the end, as it’s decided by a vote, we have no doubts that a large portion of players will end up enjoying the selection that’s picked.
Currently, gamers can check out “Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris”, a new installment in the “Lara Croft” series that started out as a spin-off from “Tomb Raider”. The original game enjoyed quite a lot of success, and now the new installment has been very prominent among fans as well, leading to a lot of excitement over its inclusion in PlayStation Plus. It follows the same basic premise as the previous game, offering a different perspective on the classic gameplay that we all know and love.
