This year has been an exciting one for the gaming industry. Many games have been released at the beginning of the year and more games keep on launching after the E3 2015 event last month. Though there are some rough patches on some of the games, the gaming world has been enticed with the new storylines which make it much more challenging to finish the games. However, it has been reported that most of these games have not been completed by most players yet.
Because of the PlayStation 4’s Trophy tracking feature, Game Informer was able to determine the statistics of the hottest games of the year, noting the percentage of completion for each game.
“Dying Light” from Warner Bros only has a completion average of 37.9 percent. The action game is an open-world zombie game that combines free running, parkour, combat and other exploration elements. It has been the most outstanding, in terms of the graphics, among the games in the Dead Island Franchise created by Techland. The story has a serious tone with Kyle Crane as the main character who was sent to retrieve data for an organization called the GRE. The narrative is extremely immersive and the moments are unexpected. The game has been released on January 27, 2015.
The highly-rated “Broken Age: Act II” by Double Fine Productions has a lower completion score of 28.5 percent. This is an exploration game about two young people, brought together by a series of cosmically patterned events. In the first installment, Vella and Shay, the main characters, featured an impossible cliffhanger that left the fans wondering about their next journey. It took the game creators one and a half year to complete the next game in the series, but so far, fans are saying it was worth the wait. Though not many have completed the game yet, it could be because of the narration and the complexity of the challenges. The game was released on April 28, 2015.
The newly-released game “Batman: Arkham Knight” has been very much anticipated, but it hit a couple of bad reviews after users experienced a lot of tech issues in the game. The gamers were also disappointed with how the graphics turned out.
According to the game creator, Rocksteady Studios, the game will be the final installment for the “Arkham” series. The story highlights the deep sides of the Dark Knight. Still, it received a high rating from a couple of gaming critics saying the game has an ample amount of excellent heroes and villain dramas, packed with plot twists and action scenes. The game publisher, WB Games, just released the game on June 23, 2015.
On the other hand, “Final Fantasy Type-O HD” received very low completion scores of 12.1 percent. Since there is so much buzz about the game, the fans were expecting a lot. However, the game did not deliver according to what has been advertised. Though the game starts out strong, it collapses midway as it becomes a series of disconnected missions about retaking territory. There are so many characters all over the place that the game was not able to connect their importance to the storyline.
Though there are some tough challenges in the game, the exploration process is still fun and distinct. There is the intriguing twist on the long-running “Final Fantasy” series but since there is little navigation on the growth of the story, the game did not really progress.

Meanwhile, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” has had a huge reception from the fans. However, since it is still very new, only 12.3 percent has completed the game so far, which is not that surprising at all since the game is supposed to have hours of gameplay.
