PlayStation 4 Pro Boosts Sales of Original Console, Is the Upgrade Worth It? Let’s See

Some companies might try to counteract that by focusing their development primarily on the PS4 Pro versions of their games, and then porting them back to the original console when they’re done.

But this will surely lead to a very problematic situation, where games will start performing more and more poorly on the classic PlayStation 4 Pro, making people feel practically forced to upgrade to the new console if they want to be able to keep enjoying their favorite titles.

This can all be prevented with some appropriate quality control and standards from Sony themselves. The company is already notorious for their strict regulations regarding games that are being released on the PlayStation, and they could tighten the grip even further in the future.

However, this could also backfire on them if it makes developers less inclined to develop on the PlayStation. This situation could definitely happen if Sony becomes aggressive enough in their stance about quality, and this is actually something that won’t benefit gamers in the long run.

For now though, the console has been performing great on the market and it’s giving many people high hopes for Sony’s future. As long as the company maintains the current status quo, they should be able to keep the PS4 Pro in the news for a long time. And of course, maintaining Sony’s reputation will be quite important for their next console as well.
