Disney tend to take their release dates very seriously after all, and it’s rare for the studio to announce any delays after they’ve committed to a particular schedule.
In addition to that, “Pirates of the Caribbean” is one of their more important franchises, and they will definitely want things to run smoothly in terms of their communication with fans. It would be a bit of a disappointment for many right now to hear that the film is going to come with a delay.
Speaking of communication though, Disney should probably try to be a bit more active in revealing special details about the upcoming production, as there is a lot of confusion among fans about what exactly is going to happen.
As we said above, this is a sequel to a franchise that’s already been running for a longer time, so fans expect the studio to be bolder with their changes. At the same time, they also want to retain some sense of familiarity. The latest trailer seems to have confused some fans in this regard, as it focused too heavily on what’s new and changed.
It might be a smart idea to release a new trailer in the coming weeks which focuses on the opposite aspect of the film – what has been preserved from the past, and how it will all connect to the original story that fans already know.
