As work on the new “Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell no Tales” continues, we’ve been getting more reports from the set that paint an interesting picture about the film. It seems like the people involved in the production are determined to make it work and get it right in every way possible, after the franchise started to die down in popularity a little bit since the last film came out. According to some fans, they have been missing the old production values and the ideas that were developed in the previous movies, but thankfully it sounds like we’re going to see those concepts revisited soon.
According to the latest reports regarding “Pirates of the Caribbean 5”, the film will make an attempt to take the franchise back to its roots and explore what made it so good in the first place. There were various features in the older films, particularly the first one, that were very well-liked by fans and drew people to the franchise in waves, and those seem to have been lost a little bit as time went on.
But now, everyone involved in the project has been trying to remind both themselves as well as the audience why “Pirates of the Caribbean” was so successful in the first place, and why the franchise enjoyed so much attention in the past. Of course, fans shouldn’t expect a rehash of the first film, as that would be the other extreme that they probably don’t want to see happen.
There will be some interesting new developments aiming to shake things up a little bit, and we’re going to see some new characters introduced that will add a new angle to the storytelling of the film. On the other hand, old characters that we haven’t seen in a while will be brought back, and in some of those cases that would be done in a somewhat surprising way for the fans.
It seems like the producers really are trying to pull every trick out of their sleeves that they are capable of, and they are looking into making this installment into the franchise the best fans have seen to date. However, it seems like some common requests that the community has been making towards the producers will not be granted, and certain plot developments will remain unresolved in this film.
Which shouldn’t be a bad thing, actually – it could mean that the producers are setting themselves up for a new installment in the future and they don’t want to close their doors too quickly. That would make sense in light of rumors that they have been trying to bring the franchise back to life, because if this film ends up working out fine, then there would be a lot of potential for yet another installment. And of course, if all major plot lines are concluded in this film, that wouldn’t leave much potential for this to happen.
In any case, the film is going to have a relatively long post-production phase now and fans are going to have to wait a while to get the new installment. Producers are currently aiming at July 2017 for the official release, and while there haven’t been any reports of possible delays, we never know what might happen over almost two years. In the end, fans are just happy to know that a new film is on the way and that it’s being produced with the idea of breathing some fresh life into the franchise.
