And just like the love story between Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann during the first three films of the movie series, the love story of Kaya Scodelario, who shall take on the role of Carina Smyth, and Henry Turner, in the fifth movie is just a subplot of “Pirates of the Caribbean 5.”
In fact, in some European countries, the movie was retitled as “Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge” which means that the focus of the film is the quest of Captain Salazar to take his revenge against Captain Jack Sparrow for allegedly being responsible for the death of his brother.
What seems true in a way is the rather limited exposure of Orlando Bloom’s Will Turner in the upcoming movie.
Since he no longer has a partner in Elizabeth Swann, Will Turner will just be appearing as sort of cameo and only to validate that he is the father of Henry.
It could be recalled that Orlando Bloom and his character also skipped the fourth movie of the franchise, entitled “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” when it was released to theaters in 2011.
When “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” hits theaters in May next year, it will be about six years from the time that the fourth movie of the franchise came out to cinemas.
