The chase and the confrontation between Captain Salazar and Captain Jack, with all the ghost pirates, would sure be full of fun, excitement, and comedic moments too. It would be Captain Jack at his best again which was what the fans of the franchise sorely missed during the last two films of the franchise.
Incidentally, in a recent interview, Johnny Depp revealed that he was nearly fired from the third “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie by the producers because he appeared to have a slur and mumble his dialogues on screen.
He recalled that he fully expected to be fired from the movie when he got a call from the upper echelon of Disney and asked him to shape up or ship out.
He said that for some reason they decided to keep him, but the compromise was to put subtitles under his character because they could not understand what Captain Jack was saying.
Fortunately for Depp, it was his slurring and mumbling that won more fans to the franchise that is why up until the upcoming fifth movie and even when he was the major cause for its delay, he is still around. As to how long would that be, only Disney knows.
