After they got married in February last year, speculations went around that the relationship of 52-year-old actor Johnny Depp and 29-year-old actress Amber Heard will not last a year.
Reports have it then that their sweetness is only being shown as their public face because in private, the two are always going at it.
The past year has been tough for the celebrity couple not because of the rumors that their relationship is a farce but because of the controversy involving their Yorkshire pet dogs that were brought by Amber Heard to Australia without proper documentation.
Amber Heard flew to Australia along with her pet dogs in order to join her husband Johnny Depp who was filming “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” then. It was also an offshoot of rumors that she has been cheating with her husband with a common female friend, which turned out to be false.
For bringing her pet dogs to the country without documentation, the Australian minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Barnaby Joyce has officially lodged a formal complaint against the actress for the supposed crime committed in the Land Down Under.
Pending a possible amicable settlement over a minor issue, Amber Heard will be attending the hearings in Australia starting this year until it is over so as to avoid being penalized and face possible jail time.
Through it all, Johnny Depp stood and promises to stand by his wife whatever the consequences of her seemingly innocent actions are as there was hardly anyone who got aggrieved over the incident.
Turning the tables on rumor-mongers
While those who were spreading the rumors that Johnny Depp’s marriage to Amber Heard will not last a year were probably celebrating quietly for the impending fate that befalls the pretty actress, the couple continues to debunk those false claims not by responding or denying it but displaying their sweetness in public like a couple who is just in their honeymoon phase.
Johnny and Amber were once again spotted at the Vivienne Westwood party over the weekend and they were looking like teenagers as they smooched and seem not able to keep their hands off each other, reports the Mirror of UK.
Apparently, those who were predicting their marriage would not last a year may be in for a humiliation and embarrassment as Johnny and Amber are set to mark their first wedding anniversary on February 3, which is barely a month from now.
It is also expected that the couple will continue their celebration all the way to Valentine’s Day.
Johnny Depp said during his acceptance speech after receiving the Desert Palm Achievement Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival that he is thankful for Amber for putting up with him and for living with all these characters, which can’t be easy, alluding to his different moods and personas in private.
He added that it was hard for him putting up with himself so it is definitely harder for his wife.
Newly-married
