The highly-anticipated role-playing game “Persona 5” has finally gotten a more or less defined released time frame from its developer Atlus. Instead of merely saying that the game will be released next year, the game’s latest trailer now indicate that “Persona 5” will come out on the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 3 in the summer of 2016.
But Atlus still did not disclose an exact date in the summer of 2016 when the video game will be officially released. Still, as far as gamers are concerned, the new information is still more defined and focused compared to just having 2016 as a release period.
The cryptic summer 2016 release date of “Persona 5” was actually indicated in its latest gameplay trailer which Atlus unveiled quite recently.
The game was supposed to be released before the end of this year but due to some improvements and adjustments, it was deferred to next year. However, Atlus assured fans and gamers of the “Persona” franchise that when the fifth installment of the game comes out in the summer of 2016, it would definitely deliver above and beyond the expectations of everyone, details Venture Capital Post.
Causing a stir
The delay in the release of “Persona 5” this year has actually caused a small stir in the online community.
The North American version of the official “Persona 5” website has yet to be updated in as far as the new release period is concerned but the online community have been kind enough to help out with translating the official “Persona 5” Japanese website.
There is also an updated character description of the main protagonists in “Persona 5” and the different Personas that they will be taking on. It is actually the reserved, well-mannered 16-year-old transferee who heads the group as the leader of the Phantom Thieves. They become different persons altogether when they wear his phantom thief outfit.
The small group of thieves are students who band together because of their indifferences with other students in the school. Although their physical descriptions have already been revealed, their respective skill, power, and abilities remain shrouded in mystery as of this time.
Mimicking the Shibuya lifestyle
Meanwhile, game director Katsura Hashino revealed some more details on “Persona 5” by saying that the game will be mimicking the Shibuya lifestyle.
Apparently, the game’s setting is called Shibuya, which is about the life in the big city and it was chosen for “Persona 5,” details Crossmap.
Based on the latest trailer of the video game, “Persona 5” appears to be set in a place with tons of cars, tall buildings, and people.
Hashino said that if there is one thing that lies at the center of their games’ themes, it is the notion people have that there are things that they want to do with their lives but can’t actually realize for one reason or another.
The game director adds that one of the goals in making “Persona 5” is to give those people an outlet to explore those thrills and experience that sense of freedom that the protagonists themselves have within the context of a game.
While the delay in the release of “Persona 5” was admittedly a big blow to the anxious gamers, who have been agonizingly waiting for the game for quite some time, Atlus nonetheless consider it as a blessing in disguise because it will give them enough time to further finetune the game and make it really perfect when it finally comes out in the Sony gaming consoles.
