Persona 5 Development Is Finished, Studio Releases Lengthy Gameplay Video!

It looks like “Persona 5” will focus a bit more heavily on the dungeon crawling aspect of the game, and while some players have been critical of that decision, the majority of fans seem to enjoy the change.

“Persona” has always been a blend between social interaction and dungeon crawling – quite unique in this regard, too – and as long as both components are kept intact, the next installment in the series should enjoy the same attention as success as its predecessors.

In fact, there will be even more reasons to come back to the game over and over again, such as the newly introduced randomly generated dungeons, something the developers have been boasting with quite a lot. They seem proud of the work they’ve done on the dungeon generator system, and have even gone as far as to claim that the random dungeons of “Persona 5” alone are more expansive than the entire previous game in the series, and can offer a lot more play time.

We’ll see if that’s true or not soon enough, but let’s not forget that size isn’t everything when it comes to procedurally generated games. The actual content must stay fresh and original enough to keep players hooked, otherwise it becomes a boring and repetitive grind after not long. And we definitely wouldn’t want to see “Persona” turned into that, so hopefully there has been enough thought put into those random dungeons.
