Persona 5 Coming Later Than Expected, Is the Game Going to Get Extra Content? Let’s See

“Persona 5” has been coming for a while, and while fans were hopeful that the game would be out sooner, with some rumors claiming that it was right around the corner, it might turn out that this is not quite the case, and we’re going to have to wait a little longer before we get the new installment in the franchise. It’s already been delayed several times, and fans probably didn’t want to hear about yet another delay, but that’s just what’s happening as the game’s director has issued an apology to his fans and reassured them that the team is working as hard as possible to make the game come out sooner.

There are apparently some valid reasons for the delay, but this of course didn’t do much to calm down fans who have been waiting for it for a long time now. It looks like the hype around “Persona 5” has been dying down a little bit lately, as some fans have grown tired of the long wait and are now shifting their attention to other productions, pushing back their interest towards “Persona 5” until they have more concrete information about the game.

It sounds like a lot of work is going into polishing the title and the developers on the project have all the best intentions to make it a complete, impressive game that fans truly want to play. They are seemingly afraid of letting down their core audience and giving the impression that they’ve rushed the title for some quick profits, and while there aren’t any such sentiments among the community of “Persona” fans, we wouldn’t be surprised if some people had this reaction after waiting for the new game for so long.

It’s a common problem with some game studios, as the longer a franchise goes without a sequel, the better that sequel has to be in order to live up to the expectations that fans have for it. In some cases, the game might simply reach a point where no kind of quality can justify the long release cycle, and we’ve already seen examples of that in the industry before. At this point, “Persona 5” could be headed to such a fate, but hopefully the developers of the game know what they’re doing and they aren’t going to let the favorite franchise of so many people get swept under the rug.

We’re definitely curious about what they might do in order to impress fans once the new game is out though, and there have been various reports about how the gameplay might be improved so far. It sounds like a major trend in the development of the game is making its gameplay more accessible while at the same time deepening it and giving players a better opportunity to explore tactics that require more skill. This is something that some players have wanted to see for a while now, as “Persona” is definitely the kind of game that predisposes towards a higher skill ceiling.

Hopefully the developers are going to realize this potential in the next installment, whenever it comes out. Currently, the release has been postponed for the summer season of 2016, but that’s a relatively vague definition so we don’t know when exactly the game is going to make it to the market, nor if the studio is actually going to meet this release deadline in the end. It’s possible that they might miss this one as well.
