We trust that Atlus are not that careless though, and that they will think things through carefully. There is some time to go before the game comes out on those markets, so we’ll probably see some special previews for it in the meantime.
The studio has a lot of experience under their belt so we trust that they aren’t going to repeat their past mistakes. Especially now when so much is on the table – this is their most popular release of all time, after all, and they have a huge opportunity to make it even better once the game hits the Western markets.
They will have to make sure that every aspect of that release goes through smoothly and without any interruptions however, and considering how much attention there is currently focused on them, we can understand why the studio is keeping quiet about the state of the international version of the game. Especially if they are planning some updates in the meantime.
It would be wise of them to wait until they are absolutely ready to show the product to the public before making any statements about it, as “Persona 5” is guaranteed to undergo a lot of scrutiny once people have seen its translated version. The positive impressions everyone has from the Japanese edition can easily make things go both ways, depending on how well the developers have handled the localization of the new one.
