‘Person of Interest’ Season 5 Premiere Date will Happen on Spring and not on Summer of 2016, Confirms CBS Boss!

It was also Geller who revealed that actress Sarah Shahi would be returning in Season 5 to reprise her fan-favorite Sameen Shaw character, with the CBS boss describing her as really amazing.

Despite the looming end for his TV series, co-creator and director Jonathan Nolan is still very thankful for CBS for giving him and the producers the opportunity to do Season 5 of “Person of Interest.”

He said that it is also good for the fans because they will have the opportunity to see every plotline of “Person of Interest” coming to a wrap rather than leaving them with many unanswered questions.

Having to follow a TV series with no clear ending because it was abruptly cancelled by the network is a critical heart-wrenching feeling for TV viewers that some actually shun watching them.

Nolan also confirmed that there is indeed a high possibility that Season 5 of “Person of Interest” shall be its last but he promises that the story would end well and that he will make sure to give viewers 13 kickass episodes.

In fairness to CBS, when it moved the premiere date of Season 5 of “Person of Interest,” the network did not mean to discredit the show or put it in a low priority. It actually wanted to help the show boost its ratings by pitting it against not-so-tough competition, which usually comes during summer. But now, the show is confirmed to air in spring so it would be up against stiffer competition.

  1. Thank you CBS for letting tv series to wrap up its show even if it’s only 6 or 13 episodes. This is better than not having an ending at all.

  2. Why end it at all? Sort out any differences with stars and staff. CBS hit on a gold mine with this series, yet they are going to throw it away. For once we get a show that treats us as adults, and not some whining kid in the corner that needs placating. Too many brain dead shows on TV now, nothing for the intelligent mind to ponder over. A good show is thought provoking and remains in the mind, sometimes for days, other shows seem to last as long as getting off the chair to turn the TV off to go to bed.

  3. Yes, you have to think to enjoy this show…thank you Barb for saying it. This is one of the most thought provoking and intelligent shows I’ve watched and I am quite discerning about what I will give my time to as life really is short. Please CBS…realize and promote intelligent programming!
