Reports have it that Mr. Finch and Root will be on opposing sides as they debate on whether or not they should make changes to The Machine.
Amy Acker, in a recent interview, said that Root is still the No. 1 champion of The Machine. So she is trying to convince Harold that they should make some modifications while rebuilding her.
More details about the plotline or possible new cast members of Season 5 of “Person of Interest” are expected to come out once its premiere draws near.
There is also Sameen Shaw, played by Sarah Shahi, a former ISA assassin who unknowingly dealt with the relevant numbers found by the Machine.
Beginning on the third season, “Person of Interest” has seen the advent of a new rival AI called as the ‘Samaritan,’ which was brought to existence by Decima Technologies. Season 4 of the TV series centered on the struggle between the two competing AIs and their human agents.
During the Season 4 finale, Sameen Shaw took side with the Samaritan after she was presumed dead by Team Machine. She will return as a brand new person, but not everyone will be happy with it. Reese senses that Shaw’s arrival will cause trouble to the team and The Machine. But Root says that Shaw can still change back to her old self.
