‘Penny Dreadful’ Wraps Up TV Series After Season 3; Fans Shocked with Vanessa’s Death

When asked whether or not “Penny Dreadful” is truly over, Logan answered that some poems are meant to be haikus and some are meant to be sonnets and some are meant to be enormous epics, and “Penny Dreadful” was always meant to be a sonnet. It was something of grace and beauty, he added.

Logan went on to thanked the whole cast and crew as well as the fans who watched the show until the end. He says that crafting something this beautiful was difficult and at times exhausting, but it was all worth it.

After the series finale aired, a behind-the-scenes video was released featuring Green and Harnett talking about the shocking finale.

Eva says that she’s going to miss Vanessa and that to be able to play such a beautiful character is a gift for an actor.

Harnett thanked all their fans for following the story for three seasons. He admits he’s sad that all of it must come to an end, but says that the show will always be with him and that he will miss portraying Ethan as well.

  1. I saw the ending thinking Vanessa was going to be resurrected. Then I saw The End and I was shocked and horrified!!! No no no no no. I had to Google to make sure it had really happened! I truly loved all the main characters and hope this writer will keep us glued to our TVs with another series. He’s remarkable!!!
