Cox has signed in for a guest star role and although he will not appear in the season premiere, he is definitely bound to make one grand entrance.
Reports say that Cox’s character will make his way to the Showtime series halfway through the season and will be involved in a very climatic two-episode story arc.
Series creator John Logan has teased fans that Jared’s entry into the show gives fans something to look forward to this season. He adds that it will be very interesting to see Ethan’s reaction after finally seeing his father.
Fans of the show will know that Ethan’s father has been mentioned for the previous two seasons. Crossmap reports that Jared is on the hunt for his son and will stop at nothing until he settles an old score with him.
“Penny Dreadful” Season 3 will feature nine episodes, one episode short of its second season and one episode more that its premiere season.
According to reports, since the show has introduced witches during the second season, fans are expecting that producers of the show will give more focus to these characters.
Some suggest that they could explore the story of the Nightcomers or even Vanessa’s rivalry with the witch leader Madam Kali also known as Evelyn Poole, played by Helen McCrory.
