That’s in addition to the fact that the main female protagonist in Vanessa Ives is already dead and it would be absurd for the show to continue without her let alone bring her up from the dead and turn her into something like Brona or Lily Frankenstein, the role played by Billie Piper in the TV series.
For her part, Eva Green also said in a recent blog that she can absolutely confirm that it is really over for “Penny Dreadful.”
She added that the whole idea to have a ‘The End’ during the Season 3 ninth and final episode applies to all of the characters not just for Vanessa Ives.
John Logan added that he thinks that it is the right ending so for him to revisit the world again would seem inorganic.
The showrunner also confirmed that if Showtime CEO David Nevins approached him sometime in the future about revisiting the show or doing a possible spin-off TV series, he would still be open to the conversations, but as it stands, “Penny Dreadful” is done and over with.
While fans are still mourning the abrupt demise of “Penny Dreadful,” most of them would be happy to know that the DVD copy of the full Season 3 of their favorite TV series shall be hitting video shelves on October 4.
