Persepolis midfielder Payam Sadeghian is currently one of the best football players of the Iran Pro League. Many believe that Sadeghian has played an important role in the success of Persepolis in Iran’s top flight league. Payam Sadeghain is the top assister of the IPL.

“I strongly believe that Sadeghian has a bright future in football. However, he needs to concentrate only on his job rather than paying attention to not important matters,” Iranian former football player Sasan Motamedi said in an interview with the Master Herald on Friday.

Over the past few months, Sadeghian has been criticized by analysts for his childish behavior in pitches. Persepolis coach Al Daei has already announced that he had talked to Sadeghian with regard to his important situation.

“In my opinion, Payam Sadeghian can help Iran in the upcoming FIFA World Cup. He is only 21, so he has a long road to go. Other football players and coaches should try to help him in his way,” Motamedi added.

Payam Sadeghian started his youth career at Zob Ahan in 2007. From 2009 to 2013, he played for the Isfahan-based football club in the Iran Pro League. On 9 June 2013, Sadeghian penned a two-year contract with Persepolis.

“In fact, Payam Sadeghian played an important role in the recent success of Persepolis. We should credit him for his merits. I think he is deserved to play for top European football clubs, if he manages to give his best services to Team Melli during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.” Sasan Motamedi concluded.

It is worth mentioning that a number of Iranian footballers who play in foreign leagues have already received job offers from some European football clubs. According to reports, Iranian players won’t finalize their moves to other clubs until the end of the World Cup.
