For some people who’re just joining the ranks of “Fast and Furious” fans, it probably won’t even matter as they won’t even know the context of the story that they’re seeing and they wouldn’t be too aware of the kind of character they’re seeing.
But there are plenty of other people who follow the franchise very actively, and that’s where the big community divide is going to be if those rumors turn out to be true. It’s possible that the franchise could actually suffer in popularity and ratings if the decision is actually real.
With that in mind, it’s probably safe to assume that this will be a major point of discussion among the community over the next few weeks/months, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the topic keeps popping up on a regular basis on forums related to the film.
It’s the kind of thing that fans love to discuss, and even though some are obviously not very pleased with the idea, they still enjoy talking about what the film could bring to the table and how the producers could decide to alter the setting in order to freshen things up for the next installment. Realistically, there is a lot that can be done to keep these films fresh for a long time.
I think they should keep Paul Walker out of it. I believe that is what he would have wanted. Let’s show some respect for Paul.
