Pangu Falls Behind in the Race for Apple iOS 10 Jailbreak, Apple Outsmarts Hackers, Releases Security Patch 10.0.1

Apple had always had the upper hand when it came to jailbreaking the iOS. They had assumed that the jailbreaking community would set to work on Apple iOS 10 jailbreak and hence timed the update to 10.0.1 perfectly. It even introduced a patch in the latest version that prevents jailbreakers from cracking the operating system.

In the past, Apple realized jailbreakers are manipulating their operating system to run third party applications. Apple users had been lapping it in, and this badly hit dedicated iOS apps. Apple decided to act upon it and devised the tactic of introducing patches for the operating system.

As compared to iOS 10.0.0, which took up 1.1 GB data, the patch for 10.0.1 takes up only 25 to 60 MB. The difference in numbers establishes how insignificant the update was and that the primary purpose was to prevent the hacker groups from manipulating the operating system.

Apple users looking to jailbreak their devices are in a fix. The last iOS to be hacked was iOS 9.3.3. Those who have updated their iOS to the latest operating system, have no option but to continue with it. The only way out is to downgrade their iOS to 9.3.5, which doesn’t have a jailbreak.
