“Outlander” started off on a shaky ground, and some critics were convinced that the show won’t get much screen time, with some going as far as to predict that it will be cancelled after its first season. So far though, the producers have not only managed to beat those predictions, but they’re also pushing forward quite actively and are always exploring new grounds for their work.
This might disappoint some of their fans who’re familiar with the original books and were hoping that the TV show would offer them a close and familiar experience, but it’s a better solution than letting the show go under because the producers couldn’t translate some parts of the books to the screen.
We’re quite excited ourselves to see what season 3 will bring to the table and how things will develop after that – hopefully this show has a long lifetime ahead of it.
It’s possible that fans might get some more Q&A sessions with actors from the show – or perhaps with other people involved in it – so those who’re curious to find out what the producers have been working on should keep their eyes and ears open. We’ve already seen quite the active communication from the producers towards their fans, so it makes sense to expect even more teasers and previews over the next few weeks leading up to the release of season 3, which is currently scheduled for 2017 if everything goes according to plan.
