Some drastic changes are apparently coming up in the new third season of “Outlander”, as the show is introducing new characters and also taking out old ones at the same time. It seems like the producers have a lot planned, so hopefully the risk they’re taking on will be worth it in the end. After all, major changes to a show’s formula like this can either make or break it, as we’ve seen countless times before.
Other than that, some other characters are going to see their relationships rearranged in different ways. Many fans have been wondering about Jaime and Claire, and it looks like we’re finally going to see the two coming together in the new season.
And while the producers were eager to share this detail, they also didn’t want to reveal too much and it’s not entirely clear how the relationship between the two characters is going to be handled. At least we know that the showrunners are planning something positive for them, so this should be a bit of a relief for those who had been worried.
Who is going to leave the set? There are various rumors about that, and mostly we’ve been hearing talks about two characters potentially being killed off. However, we have no concrete idea who they might be, and what the producers could be planning in terms of replacements.
It’s also possible that the rumors are not only false, but were actually started by the producers themselves in order to get their fans worried, as it would be entirely in their style from everything we’ve seen so far. “Outlander” has established a strong reputation largely on the element of speculation and surprise, and the producers could certainly benefit from misleading their fans.
There is a lot left to be done behind the scenes of the show in any case, as some important scenes still have to be filmed, and the producers seem to be scheduling things in a peculiar way. Certain parts of the season won’t be filmed until next year, and there are also talks about possible last-minute rearrangements that would have to be done.
Some fans apparently suspect that there are some uncertainties with the actors involved in the new season leading to this situation, but nobody seems to know for sure what’s going on. Other rumors indicate that there might be even more deaths of major characters in season 3, instead of the currently speculated two. Of course, that may not be the case, or it’s also possible that we haven’t seen all the announcements for upcoming new cast members. In any case, there seems to be a lot going on behind the scenes of “Outlander”, hopefully the show’s fans won’t end up disappointed by what they see in season 3.
