The only thing Gabaldon did say was that she has already seen the script for season 2, and she was deeply impressed with the way the writers of the show have handled it. Of course, she didn’t specify exactly what it was that impressed her.
But that’s part of the surprise we guess, as the show’s producers don’t want to spoil too much right now, before the episodes are ready for showing to the public. Which, at this rate, might take a while, but we are strongly convinced that it will be worth the wait.
Other new additions to the show’s cast include Laurence Dobiesz as the brother of Black Jack, Alex, while we also have Margaux Chatelier in the role of Jamie’s ex-girlfriend, Annalise de Marillac. The cast of the show will likely be expanded in other directions as well, but details on that remain unconfirmed.
It’s shaping up to be an amazing second season of a production that started off on a strong note, and the producers of “Outlander” seem to be putting a lot of effort into pleasing their fans. Let’s just hope that they will maintain this attitude until the end of the current production round, and extend it to the next seasons as well.
