Outlander Season 2 to Arrive with Some Changes in Setting, Composer Talks about His Work on Series, And More!

Which is certainly not a bad thing, as the show managed to attract so many people as its fans precisely due to the quality of its drama. It doesn’t take it easy in more difficult moments and it actually pushes some of its characters quite far.

Fans are now expecting season 2 to take things even further and possibly end on an even more dramatic note. It would admittedly be hard to top what was shown at the end of season 1, but we’re confident that the writers of “Outlander” can come up with something even more brutal if they put their minds to it.

Is that really necessary though? The thing is, there are also other factors that resulted in so much popularity for “Outlander”, and it might not be a good idea for the show to focus exclusively on the brutal aspects of its story.

Music also played a major role in conveying the right emotions in season 1, and the composer for the show – Bear McCreary – recently talked about the work that goes into setting the perfect atmosphere for each episode with the appropriate use of music. It’s no secret that this is a critical factor in any show, be it a comedy or a drama, but “Outlander” in particular has definitely benefited a lot from the quality of its soundtrack.

  1. I was very upset by the Jamie rape scene. The degree of detail was unnecessary. But I will watch Season 2 hoping that Ron Moore will rein in his tendency to glorify violence.
