In the book, Frank ends up dead and Claire is sent to look for information that some of the Lallybrock returned safely after the Battle of Culloden. The search is for the gravestone for Jonathan Randall, which is a family member of Frank. There Claire finds the gravestone of Jamie Fraser.
His gravestone is part of a marriage stone that has his and Claire’s name on it, but there is no date for Claire. Shortly after that Brianna is told the truth about her paternity, but she is not very happy to hear that. Roger on the other hand, is intrigued and the story flashes back to that time period once again.
There is plenty of speculation as to whether the Outlander Season 2 will follow the book, since it has been on the market since 1992. Once the “Dragonfly in Amber” is complete, the show will follow the next book in the series called, “Voyager”.
