If you watched the first season of Outlander, then you know that the second season is about to start and this is usually the time that a lot of talk starts to happen online about the upcoming season. The first season of the show was based on a novel written by Diana Gabaldon and it was called “Outlander”. The second season is also based on a novel in that series called, “Dragonfly in Amber” and will bring plenty of dramatic twists to keep you interested.
The second season will see Claire return to the future and that will have fans happy. Some of the plot for Outlander Season 2 has been revealed in a promotional video posted to the official Outlander YouTube channel and in it you can see an exchange between Claire and the one she loves most, Jamie. They are talking about finding ways to meet once again in the future. The end of the clip shows Claire, back in the original timeline, lying in a hospital bed.
According to what the lead actress was saying in a recent interview, fans will be getting more excited to learn that each time she see Frank, she will see more Black Jack in him. The fan base for the show was pulled into the show as the love between the two main characters grew knowing that Claire was not going to be able to stay back in the past with him.
When Claire ended up back in time, Frank seemed to have a sinister self and known as “Black Jack”. Now that she is seeing Frank in the present time again, those memories that happened after touching the highest stone at Craigh na Dun are coming back and that is what fans are expected to see with the upcoming Outlander Season 2. The new season is supposed to be just as good as the first and will show the couple in France trying to prevent some major historic events from happening and the Battle of Culloden is one of them. Besides the new trailer on YouTube, other media has been released online.
The second season will be based on the novel, “Dragonfly in Amber” by Diana Gabaldon. In the book, Claire and Jamie are trying to prevent the rise of the Jacobites, as Claire knows exactly what that means for the Scots. Granted the book and the television show are not going to be exact in the story, but Outlander Season 2 is based on the novel, so if you read it you will have some idea of things to come. Starting in 1968 Scotland, the book brings Claire back to her “original” timeframe and living with her husband Frank.
