Just this week, there was a tweet that surfaced from the official account stating that location scouting has begun for the final block of season two. Looking back on the first season, which was based entirely in Scotland, the second season might see Jamie and Claire to Paris, but will be filmed in Prague and Scotland as well.
According to an interview with Moore, the street scenes are being filmed in Prague, but they are going to portray Paris to the viewers. Some of the other locations they found are perfect for the Palace of Versailles, according to Moore.
Now that fans have an idea of where the cast is going to end up, they might be able to speculate the story line for Outlander season 2 based on the first season.
