“Outlander” was supposed to get its second season in the fall, but the plans of the producers seem to have changed somewhat and they have pushed the release back by a few months, and reports indicate that the new episodes of the show are now going to arrive in the spring season of 2016. More specifically, it’s apparently going to arrive in April 2016, and fans were at least treated to a preview of the new episodes that gave an insight into what they might expect once the show continues.
Fans should bear in mind that the release date of the show is still under speculation, so it might not actually arrive in April at all – this is based on rumors that have been going around, but there is nothing concrete stated by the producers right now. As usual in these cases, such rumors should be taken with a grain of salt and fans of the show should be wary of any more outrageous claims about it, as currently we’re probably going to see an influx of peculiar rumors about “Outlander”. It certainly doesn’t help that the show is more popular and therefore more prone to such incidents.
Once it’s back for season 2, it looks like “Outlander” is going to enjoy some interesting new developments in its plot, and fans might find the story changing in peculiar ways. We still don’t know the exact implications of some of the new plot developments, but there will likely be a lot more drama and conflict in this season and we expect that the tension in some parts of the plot is going to be ramped up even more.
Claire and James will be trying to adapt to their new life, but various things will get in their way and the relationship between them will be put to a serious test, according to some reports. It’s possible that we might see them struggling to continue, as indicated by some previews/rumors about the season, but we trust the writers that there will be a positive conclusion in the end and that fans will still be treated to a progression in the stories of both characters.
Still, it must probably be hard for them to get used to their new circumstances while also having to plan for a baby, and this will likely be the root of some of the conflicts that will come up in the new season. Combined with the change in scenery, the new season definitely sounds like it’s going to push the show in some interesting new directions, and hopefully the new elements are going to add nicely to its popularity. Currently, “Outlander” still has a huge potential to be even more exciting and expanded in new ways, and the show has only been around for one season so it’s still pretty much a blank book when it comes to some of the more detailed parts of its plot.
Because of this, fans are looking forward to season 2 with a lot of excitement and many people seem to have high expectations for the new episodes. We’ve been treated to some previews for the new season already, and it looks like the show is definitely headed towards a well-done season 2. It’s going to be a while before we get to see the new episodes in action, but in the end the wait will likely be justified, judging by the current information that we have.
