‘Outlander’ Lead Stars Rumored to be Dating; Season 3 to Show Jamie and Claire Together Despite All Odds!

For quite some time now, rumors surrounding the real score between Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, who plays Jamie and Claire Fraser in the time-travel romance drama TV series “Outlander,” have been making rounds online.

Reports suggest that the attraction between their characters has turned into real life after spending a lot of time together filming and that the lead stars are now dating.

Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that Balfe and Heughan wanted to keep their relationship a secret to escape public scrutiny.

The website notes that the two were acting like a real couple on the set. The stars were reportedly spotted holding hands in between takes and clearly enjoying each other’s company.

Reports say that Scottish actor is thrilled that the Irish actress has finally returned his affection towards her.

Although neither Sam nor Caitriona have confirmed the reports, their fans seem to be happy that they have taken their relationship to the next level.

Meanwhile, fans will be happy to know that the upcoming season of “Outlander” will see Jamie and Claire together again.

The Season 2 finale saw Jamie apart after Claire went back to the stones, believing that Jamie died in battle. The timeline in the story is now set in 1968 where Claire was with her grown-up daughter, Brianna.

The final moments of the season finale saw Claire going back into the stones promising that she has to find Jamie no matter what.

Recently, production designer John Garry Steele announced that the reunion of the pair is indeed for real. Steele also shared a photo of the set on Instagram teasing fans of what’s in store for them.

In the book, their reunion took place in the print shop but the show has decided to take a different route.

Speaking to TV Line, executive producer Ron Moore says that after the Season 2 finale, they have decided that they will be going in a different direction regarding the reunion of Sam and Claire, but promises fans that they will love what they prepared.

Starz has not yet announced a premiere date for the time-travel drama TV series but it is expected to come out in 2017. Filming for the third season is also expected to begin this fall.

According to The Inquisitr, one of the most exciting things to look forward in Season 3 is the Battle of Culloden.

In Scottish history, the Battle of Culloden killed the clan culture as Scotland knew it. According to Cinema Blend, if the series will be faithful to Diana Gabaldon’s novels, then it might be the last season for Tobias Menzies’ Black Jack Randall

Randall perished on the battlefield along with Rupert, Horrocks, Angus, Hamish, and even fan favorite Murtagh. The only known survivor according to the novel is Jamie which means that fans will potentially have to say goodbye to many characters in the upcoming season.

The Hollywood Reporter states that despite the huge loss, the Battle of Culloden still needs to happen on the show if producers want “Outlander” to be a continuing success.

The website compared the Battle of Culloden to the iconic Red Wedding in “Game of Thrones” where a lot of characters met their demise. But the event was used to take the story to a whole new level and amp up its direction.

Meanwhile, two new characters will join the upcoming season of the show namely Lord John Grey and Young Ian.

International Business Times reports that casting calls have begun for the search of who shall portray the two characters.

In Season 2, Oscar Kennedy portrayed the younger version of Lord John Grey. His character made a weak attempt on Jamie’s life in an effort to save Claire from the savage Scots.
