‘Orange is the New Black’ Season 4 Yet to Premiere But Show is Renewed up to Season 6 Already!

Netflix knows it has a winner in the American comedy-drama TV series “Orange is the New Black” that is why even before the show is to premiere its Season 4 on June 17, it has already renewed it for a fifth and sixth seasons.

Apart from being a top-rating show on the streaming service, “Orange is the New Black” is also a critically-acclaimed TV series so Netflix simply knows when to continue the success streak.

Some critics, however, believe that the show is fated to run far longer than six seasons but Netflix is already two steps ahead for now, notes Popsugar.

The streaming service has already released an official teaser trailer and still pictures of the fourth season of “Orange is the New Black” and it seems that there will be a lot of exciting times for the female inmates of the fictitious Litchfield Penitentiary.

The less-than-a-minute long teaser showed the women inmates watching a boring awards show and discussing not much of anything and showing that they were all in a relaxed situation, a sort of calm before the storm scenario, points out Flavorwire.

But when Season 4 of “Orange is the New Black” debuts on Netflix come this June, many TV viewers will have a better time spending their summer without going outside and bash under the sun’s shining might.

A Martha Stewart on Litchfield Penitentiary

Meanwhile, Blair Brown has become just one of the many new additions to the cast of the upcoming Season 4 of “Orange is the New Black” on Netflix.

In a recent interview, the actress disclosed that she will be taking on the role of Judy King, a cooking show host who ended up as the newest convict in Litchfield prison.

She said that her character will be like Martha Stewart but she insisted that it is not on purpose but merely a creation of the writers.

Brown describes her character Judy King as slightly appalling and a very good and very cheerful and probably amoral person.

The best season to date

Actress Laura Prepon, who plays the role of Alex Vause in “Orange is the New Black” says that the upcoming fourth season is by far, one of the best, if not the best for the hit TV series.

The biggest cliffhanger of the Season 3 finale had the life of Alex Vause teetering on the brink of death, which critics describe as similar to the fate of Jon Snow in the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones” Season 5.

Prepon disclosed that the “Orange is the New Black” team struggled with the Jon Snow Alex’s situation especially when Kubra was shown about to put an end to her life.

The actress said that people have seen her on the set and most of them already have the conclusion that she is not dead. However, she said that every one of them has to be tight-lipped about the plotlines of the series. But her character being alive was kind of a giveaway already.

So the only thing that viewers would be watching out with Alex Vause is how she escapes from Kubra. Another interesting thing is how her return will play out in the seeming nurturing relationship between Piper Chapman, played by Taylor Schilling, and Stella Carlin, played by Ruby Rose.

Ruby Rose, in a recent interview, said that 2015 was the greatest year of her life so far because of the TV series, which has given her friends that she will have with her for the rest of her life.

Orange is the New Black

She said that getting to work with the level of talent in all sectors for her biggest role ever in the US is nothing short of a blessing.

Rose admitted that despite being the bitchiest of bitches in front of the camera, the women are actually the best of buddies off screen. She said that the quintessential thing on the show is that all of the women support each other.
