‘Orange is the New Black’ Season 4 to See Caitlyn Jenner Playing the Role of Sophia’s Love Interest and Help Her Stand Against Bullies Too!

If rumors are on target about Caitlyn Jenner having a guest appearance in Season 4 of the American comedy-drama TV series “Orange is the New Black,” it will certainly add more to the surging popularity of the Emmy Award-nominated hit show on Netflix.

Indicative of how widely anticipated the show is, its third season just ended just a few months or weeks ago, but speculations about Season 4 have been spreading on the internet like wildfire as if the TV series will be happening again very soon.

But Season 4 of “Orange is the New Black” is to premiere on Netflix in June 2016 and that’s nine months ahead so every information going around the show at this time is mere speculations and should be taken with a grain of salt.

According to latest reports, Caitlyn Jenner will be playing the love interest of Sophia Burset, portrayed by Laverne Cox, who is also a transgender, notes the Christian Post.

It can be recalled that during Season 3, Sophia was abandoned by her friends in Litchfield Penitentiary and she will apparently find support from Jenner’s character.

In addition to being the love interest of Sophia, Caitlyn’s character will also help her stand up against her bullies.

Bringing in more inmates

Viewers have noted in Season 3 that the penitentiary will be bringing in more inmates as the two-person cell has been turned into a four-person confinement.

This sets up the premise that Litchfield would be bringing in more inmates as well as security staff, and thus new characters in the TV show, for Season 4. So the entry of Caitlyn Jenner is pretty much settled.

According to a source privy to the show, Caitlyn’s entry into “Orange is the New Black” would come in a perfect time because she would be able to help Sophia show her bullies that she can fend them off. Jenner’s popularity is also expected to draw more viewers to the show, notes iDigital Times.

It can be recalled that after Sophia’s long-running feud with Gloria Mendoza, played by Selenis Leyva, nasty rumors were spread against her resulting to many inmates turning on her.

She was assaulted in prison and was sent away in isolation for defending herself. It seems likely that in Season 4, Sophia will complete her sentence in isolation and will go with the Caitlyn’s storyline.

Despite having Caitlyn’s character around, it is unlikely that she will mend fences with Gloria. In a recent interview, Laverne Cox said that she can’t imagine that it would be happening anytime soon because of the amount of remorse Gloria has. While the actress believes that there’s a potential for forgiveness in every situation, but the situation of Sophia and Gloria is really, really bad.

Finding true love

Suzanne ‘Crazy Eyes’ Warren, played by actress Uzo Aduba, is one of the more interesting characters in “Orange is the New Black.”

While she is the more intellectual inmate of Litchfield prison as she fancies herself as a wordsmith and linguist, it was seen in Season 1 how she does with someone else’s words and how she uses that to craft her artistic nature. She was free to create her own word choices and it is what she decides to come up with. Crazy Eyes wanted to write adult erotica, set in outer space, just to be different.

However, the character evolved to being more than just a wordsmith in Season 3 as she finally explored her sexuality and the concept of romance.

Orange is the New Black

Because of how the character was introduced and described in the first season of the popular TV series, Aduba explained that it became easier for her to understand why her character was so hungry for love and acceptance.

Everything about sex and romance was new to Crazy Eyes. While she knew the concept of sex right at the onset and knows it to be good, but she never had any experienced doing it with someone she really loves so she got intimidated with the idea.
