The Oppo N3 and the Samsung Galaxy Alpha are both premium devices with cutting-edge hardware. Each of them features some of the best possible features at the present. The Galaxy Alpha is already available in the market while the N3 will be announced soon. Oppo has a significant market share of its own considering its innovative devices and a fresh new approach. Oppo N3:
One unique feature on both these devices is the inclusion of a Fingerprint Scanner. Both seem to have taken a leaf from Apple’s book regarding this feature. The Oppo N3 makes use of a dual-SIM and is rather heavy at 192 grams. It includes both Nano-SIM and micro-SIM support. The device has an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors.
It has a 5.5inches full-HD screen with a 403ppi pixel density. It is protected by the usual Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and supports multi-touch input. It makes use of a fresh new Color OS 2.0 user interface. It will be released with the latest Android v4.4.4 OS version. The device houses a powerful Qualcomm MSM8974AA Snapdragon 801 processor chipset on the Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU architecture.
It also has an Adreno 330 GPU. It has an ample internal storage capacity of 32GB followed by a memory card slot for maximum 128GB upgrade, using the SIM 2 slot. It features a premium Schneider-Kreuznach certified 16MP rear shooter with dual-LED flash, 3456 x 4608 pixels and autofocus.
One of the most innovative features includes a Motorized rotating lens via on-screen gestures with an O-Click remote control. It has a 1/2.3” sensor size and a 1.34µm pixel size. Samsung Galaxy Alpha:
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is currently the Alpha from the stables of the Korean Smartphone giant. It has a PayPal certified fingerprint sensor, weighs 115g and uses a Nano-SIM. It has a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. It has a 4.7inch display with a 720p pixel resolution and 312ppi. It supports multi-touch input and is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
It was launched with Android OS v4.4.4 and will be upgraded to 5.0 Lollipop OS. Under the hood, it has an Exynos 5 Octa 5430 chipset running on the Quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU architecture. It further has a Mali-T628 MP6 GPU, a little different from the conventional Adreno variants.
It is not externally upgradable, has internal 32GB storage capacity and a 2GB RAM. A 12MP rear shooter with auto-focus and LED Flash has been provided along with a 2.1 MP secondary camera. Unlike the Oppo N3, it can record 2160p videos.
