OnePlus Two Reported to Be Going through Additional Benchmarks!

It wasn’t long ago that we saw reports that the OnePlus Two was going through benchmarks in order to verify its performance, as it passed through GeekBench. Now, the device was once again spotted, this time on a Chinese benchmarking website, where it was listed with the model number A2003. It’s worth noting that this is not the same model number as the one that we saw at GeekBench, where the device was listed as A2001.

It’s not known if this is indicative of any changes in the hardware, or if it’s simply because of the way the submission process works. But in any case, it’s a very strong indication that there is a lot of activity surrounding the phone’s development, and we will likely see it on the market very soon. There have been various rumors lately indicating that the company is preparing to make the big announcement, but we haven’t heard anything official from OnePlus themselves so far.

One of the possible explanations for the two model numbers could be that the phone will have two different variants, and while that would be a new move for the company, it’s certainly not out of the question. They may very well decide to experiment with the idea of releasing the phone in several versions that match different market requirements, and they could even get better exposure on the market as a whole that way.

Current information about the specifications of the device remains unchanged, as it’s expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of RAM, and a display running a full HD resolution (1080×1920). It will also have a 5 megapixel camera on the front, and a dedicated graphics processor, while the rear camera is rumored to be 13 megapixels instead of the 16 megapixel model featured in the phone’s predecessor.

Other than that, the phone is expected to have a 3300 mAh battery and full 4G connectivity support, as well as other types of connectivity like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and more. It’s also possible that the phone could be revealed along with the HydrogenOS, scheduled to come out on Thursday, though we can’t confirm if that’s the current plan. It would certainly be an exciting announcement, and there have been some hints from OnePlus that this might indeed be the case, but until the date for the operating system’s announcement comes, we can’t say anything more. Still, there does seem to be something being prepared behind the scenes between the two companies.
