OnePlus One Available in India without Invitation from March 24!

India is about to get its second open sale for the famous OnePlus One, as the device enters the market on March 24, and will be sold until stocks last. So far, the company hasn’t actually said anything about availability numbers, and we have no idea how long the OnePlus One will be available for. It’s probably a good idea for users who are interested in the phone to get ready for its purchase and make sure they will be able to buy it immediately, as its huge popularity likely means it won’t be available for very long.

Normally, the phone is only available for users who have been invited exclusively, a marketing strategy meant to draw attention to the OnePlus One, and so far it has been working very successfully in this aspect. The OnePlus One is among the most discussed phones on the market, despite being so difficult to get one’s hands on it – and the announcement about the open sale in India immediately created a lot of hype. Discussions about it are ongoing, and of course, some people seem to be trying to come up with ways to profit from the whole thing.

As for pricing, the phone is available for Rs. 18,999 for the 16 GB version, while the 64 GB model will cost Rs. 21,999. However, these prices will likely change soon – the company has recently hinted at an incoming change in their pricing plans for the Indian market, and it’s speculated that it will happen immediately after the open sale is over.

This would also make sense in anticipation of the next phone by the company, which will reportedly be called the OnePlus 2 as the company is considering a change in the naming convention. If they are indeed planning a new release, they are obviously going to revise their old prices. How much exactly the prices will change by, we don’t know.

This is certainly great news for Indian buyers looking for a new phone, particularly in the context of Apple’s recent price increase on their own devices. All iPhone models became more expensive without any explanation from Apple, which of course quickly led to frustration among users and somewhat undermined the popularity of the company on the Indian market.

OnePlus One

The OnePlus One received a lot of praise, as it not only combined a good set of features with an acceptable price, but the company managed to generate a lot of interest in their product without having to spend a lot of money on marketing. A lot of people who didn’t manage to get their hands on the OnePlus One in the original sales are still actively looking for ways to get one, which should speak volumes about the phone’s potential, and that of its successor when it comes out.
