It’s worth pointing out that the OnePlus 4 is rumored to come with a 4,000 mAh battery. That’s not a small unit for a smartphone, and considering that the issues with the Note 7 were allegedly tied to the high capacity of its battery, the company might want to pay special attention to their safety features when promoting the device.
The problems with the Note 7 are still a highly controversial topic among experts, and nobody seems to know for sure what’s happening with the devices to cause such a violent reaction. But it definitely seems to be related to the battery.
OnePlus don’t have a previous reputation for having such issues in their devices though, so the company doesn’t really have to say much on top of their standard marketing if they want to put people’s minds at ease.
But they will definitely benefit from being a bit more direct about this issue at the same time. As we said above, the market is entering a very interesting period right now, and we’re curious to see how the different companies are going to approach the situation and what everyone will say about their own devices in light of Samsung’s problems.
We fully expect the biggest players on the market to make every use they can of this incident. As brutal as it may sound, it’s just the way a highly competitive market like this one works, and it shouldn’t be surprising to anyone.
