The departure from the group last month of Zayn Malik has already sunk in to the British boy band One Direction although a number of fans of the group are still hopeful of a possible comeback by Zayn.
On April 13, Modest Management, One Direction’s management company, has come up with an entirely fresh profile, description, and bio for the group on its website indicating that the band is officially composed of four members.
One Direction is composed of members Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, which is now the first sentence on the fresh new profile for the boy band, removing entirely any description on Zayn Malik that was previously posted on the same website.
The rebranding made by the management company of One Direction only indicates that the group will continue with its commitments even if it has already lost one member.
While the departure of Zayn Malik has upset millions of fans of the British boy band, the other members are still quite supportive of their former bandmate’s decision and are not faulting him at all.
They are likewise confident that they can continue even if they have already lost one member because they are a talented bunch.
Unhappy picture
The website’s biography also features an image of One Direction as a quartet and ironically none of the four members on the photo are smiling, alluding perhaps that they are not happy being down to a quartet.
But members of One Direction are a talented bunch. They all vied as individual contestants to “X-Factor” UK back in 2009 and it was show judge Simon Comwell who decided to form them together to create the British boy band.
Each band member can carry a tune and some of them can also write songs so each has individual talents and capabilities. That is why during breaks from gigs, each member has their own respective preoccupations.
Something special
After the departure of Zayn Malik last month, it was only Liam Payne who made a statement on Twitter for and on behalf of the group. He said that while they felt they were abruptly abandoned by Zayn Malik in the middle of the Southeast Asian leg of their concert tour, they eventually come to understand their former bandmate and his decision.
Liam said that he is proud and happy to be part of something special for the past five years of his life. He says that nobody can really understand how important it is for them to be able to know that they can put smiles on the faces of their fans even in darkest times.
He also added in his tweet that to a lot of people, they are just a bunch of silly kids in a band but to those people who have been part of their journey, One Direction and being part of it mean so much more. Liam said that they are saddened indeed by the departure of Zayn but life has to go on for them and One Direction.
