In the end, they are not trying to please everybody and they obviously have a good idea about what their fans want, and they have been working hard to deliver more of that. At the same time, no matter how critical one might be of their music, there is no denying that the band sometimes goes to great lengths to please their fans and make them happy, and we’ve recently seen a pretty good example of that. One particular fan got a huge treat at one of the band’s latest shows, and the event has been circulating the internet ever since.
Georgia Edwards was apparently dreaming of meeting her favorite band members for a long time now, but she never got a chance to do so. Recently, a social media post got the attention of the band and they made the decision to do something nice for the girl, letting her meet all of the band’s members behind the stage after a show.
The girl was glowing with happiness and it’s obvious that she was having the time of her life. Lots of pictures were taken of her with the band members and she seemed really happy in all of them. It’s not rare for a band to meet their fans behind stage, sure, but when it’s to fulfill the wishes of a sick child, then the band members deserve a lot of respect.
The girl’s mother was apparently behind everything, including the original social media post. The post then got the attention of the mother of one of the band members, who brought up the suggestion to her son and they set everything up. As a result, Georgia has been euphoric for days after the concert, according to her mom, and she still can’t believe that this all happened.
Some people commenting on the situation have noticed a detail worth pointing out – this is one huge benefit of social media and a great example of how it can improve our lives and put us closer to the people we care about and follow actively. One Direction are one of the most famous bands in the world, and their fan still managed to get through the noise and get in touch with them. They stated that they felt inspires by meeting such a family, and it sounds like they would be happy to repeat the whole ordeal all over again in the future. Which would certainly be exciting to see – maybe we could even see this becoming a regular tradition for the band?
