Harry Styles literally threw a shade at former bandmate Zayn Malik. During One Direction’s concert in Hazza, Mexico, a fan threw a cardboard cutout of the former band member up the stage and Styles immediately kicked it off.
The British boy band performed in Mexico on November 26 and Harry kicking off Zayn’s cardboard cutout face back to the crowd was caught on video by a fan. After the 21-year-old has done the kicking, Louis Tomlinson appears to give Harry a big round of applause.
The recent incident is the latest on the growing list of shades tossed back and forth between the boys and Zayn.
When One Direction dropped by Ellen DeGeneres show last month, Ellen naturally asked them about the former band member and Harry was the first one to cut the awkwardness and preferred not to talk about him.
The British crooner admits that it’s really awkward talking about Zayn ever since he left the band.
That was in response to Malik’s lengthy interview with Entertainment Weekly. The 22-year-old singer revealed that One Direction’s songs are not the type of music he would listen to.
Apparently, the British boys have had it with the press asking them time and time again regarding Zayn’s departure from the band.
The band, who won Artist of the Year at the recent American Music Awards, has tried to be subtle about Malik’s exit. Liam has even indicated that he understood his friend’s decision to leave, Australia Network News reports.
The band has a lot on their plate and Zayn is not one of them. Tomlinson for one is on his way to becoming a father.
Design & Trend reports that his baby mama, Briana Jungwirth, is due to give birth in February 2016 and Louis plans to raise his baby in the UK.
It would seem to be a problem as Briana’s family is in Los Angeles. Britain’s Closer magazine reveals that the 23-year-old singer is apparently hoping that he can bring his baby to England after the birth, but the two haven’t agreed on anything yet.
The dad-to-be was interviewed backstage by STV Glasgow last month and he admits that he’s really excited for the arrival of his little one.
He adds that he’s also excited for the band’s impending hiatus so he can spend more time with his baby.
News of Jungwirth carrying Tomlinson’s child was first confirmed by Jungwirth’s dad in an interview with Daily Mail.
Although Louis and Brian are not in a romantic relationship, the two are obviously in good terms. The stylist was even spotted supporting the band at the group’s London concerts last month.
With a One Direction baby on the way, it’s safe to say that the four boys have a lot to think about than talk about estranged bandmate Zayn.
In March this year, Malik decided to leave the chart-topping boy band just a few days before wrapping up their “On the Road Again” world tour and in the initial phase of their fifth studio album.
The British native told One Direction fans that he wanted to be a normal 22-year-old and needed to spend time out of the limelight and stress.
Reports also say that Zayn’s then fiance, Little Mix member Perrie Edwards, was behind his departure. The couple called off their engagement and eventually called it quits in August.
Right now, Malik is rumored to be dating model Gigi Hadid. The two have been spotted going out together recently.
One Direction’s latest album, “Made in the A.M.” was released last month. Directioners are well aware that Harry, Louis, Niall, and Liam are now out on a promotional tour in support of the album. Once they wrap it up, the boys will be taking a long hiatus.
