‘Once Upon a Time’ Season 6B to Showcase Emma’s Grim Fate and Her Mortality will Resonate in the Finale

After airing its 10th episode on December 4 entitled “Wish You Were Here,” Season 6 of the American fairy tale drama TV series “Once Upon a Time” on ABC went on its winter hiatus.

The second half of Season 6 is reported to be aired in March of next year but ABC has yet to come out with an official statement regarding the exact airing date of the six remaining episodes of the sixth season of the TV series.

During the 10th episode, the killer of the Savior, who is Emma, played by Jennifer Morrison, was already introduced. His name is Gideon, played by Giles Matthey, and he is the son of Belle, played by Emilie de Ravin, and Rumple, played by Robert Carlyle.

Based on the spoilers for the upcoming 11th episode of “Once Upon a Time” Season 6, the Savior is going to die.

It was already hinted in the premiere episode of Season 6 when Emma as the Savior met a former Oracle in the woods, who told her that her death is inevitable and showed her a more detailed vision of her future time.

Emma saw herself in a sword fight with a hooded figure and she also saw that her opponent had quickly outsmarted her, notes the Inquisitr.

The Oracle told Emma that her destination is unalterable even if she takes a different path. He said that Emma can change the path to the destination but the destination is the same.

Confirming Emma’s death

Co-showrunner Eddy Kitsis also confirmed the grim fate of Emma and it will reach its crucial point in the second half of Season 6. It will definitely come to a head in the remaining six episodes of “Once Upon a Time” Season 6, assures the co-creator.

Kitsis said that Emma’s mortality will resonate in the Season 6 finale as well, explaining that that Savior is fated to die and that is the destiny that Saviors like her must face.

Episode 11 of “Once Upon a Time” Season 6 is entitled “Tougher than the Rest,” where the much anticipated ominous sword fight between Emma and her killer can be seen.

Kitsis is not yet ready to spill the beans about Gideon’s motive in making the Savior his sword’s target. He, however, revealed that the upcoming episode would feature Gideon, revealing his backstory, his driving force, and more.

Imminent death of a major character

While there were previous hints that the show will kill off one of its major characters in Season 6, it looks imminent at this point that it is going to be Emma, notes the iTech Post.

There are also reports saying that the snowing curse will stay in Storybrooke for a while. Accordingly, the producers are in a quagmire in trying to at least make more surprises as some of the show’s storylines were already revealed through online leaks.

Latest reports also have it that the main characters of “Once Upon a Time” will have a difficult time trying to survive their daily lives.

As if the significant number of characters in the fairy tale drama TV series “Once Upon a Time” on ABC is still not enough, a new character known as the Black Fairy made her way to Storybrooke in the ninth episode of the show that aired on November 27.

During the episode of “Once Upon a Time” prior to the fall finale, the TV series featured Jaime Murray, star of “Defiance,” taking on the role of the Black Fairy.

The ninth episode of “Once Upon a Time” Season 6 was also the show’s 120th episode. It was supposed to air on November 20 but it had to give way to the airing of the 2016 American Music Awards on ABC.

In light of the nearly two-week wait after the airing of episode 8 on November 13, executive producer Adam Horowitz posted one part of the script on Twitter.

In the episode, Rumple and Belle tried to iron out some issues in their relationship. Having been married to someone who desires for power has not been easy for Belle.
