Once Upon a Time Season 6 to See Lana Parilla Playing as Both the Evil Queen and Regina, More Details

The Season 5 finale of the American fairy tale drama TV series “Once Upon a Time” that aired on ABC on May 15 was one of the most epic finales not only of the show but in television history that had its fans extremely getting excited about its sixth season.

What is clear from the Season 5 finale is that actress Lana Parilla will come back in Season 6 twice herself. She will return as Regina and the Evil Queen following the separation of the two personalities during the final episode of the fifth season.

In a recent interview, Lana Parrilla said that it is not actually split personality but two separate Reginas – one of which is the Evil Queen and the other is the heroine, Regina.

She said that it would really be fun to play both sides and can’t wait to start filming for Season 6, which according to reports will premiere on ABC on September 25.

New characters for the next season

According to reports, there will be new characters that will come to the Season 6 of “Once Upon a Time” including Don Quixote, Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde, Lemuel Gulliver, and the three Musketeers.

The TV series is also expected to feature stories from “The Brothers Grimm,” “The Water-Babies,” “Knight of the Holy Grail,” Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea,” among a few others, details the International Business Times of India.

The new realm will also feature other popular fairy tales including “Alladin,” “Buttercup,” and “Six Swans.”

In addition to the battle of the two Reginas, fans are also looking forward to the wedding of Emma Swan, played by Jennifer Morrison, and her beau Captain Hook a.k.a. Killian, played by Colin O’Donoghue, in the upcoming season.

The conclusion of Season 5 of “Once Upon a Time” saw two new villains and an uncertain future for Storybrooke residents courtesy of Mr. Hyde and Lana Parrilla.

During the finale, Mr. Hyde tells the Storybrooke heroes that he wants to bring people from the Land of Untold Stories to Storybrooke so their tales will finally be shared, which points to the addition of new characters come the next season, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

The splitting of Regina and the Evil Queen is actually synonymous to the separation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde but in the latter’s case, it would be interesting to find out if the two personalities will collaborate to bring doom to Storybrooke or one will negate the other.

Fairytale and historical characters alike

The sixth season of “Once Upon a Time” shall also feature a combination of Disney and non-Disney fairytale characters and historical figures and it would be interesting how they will all blend together in the show.

It was actually Henry, played by Jared Gilmore, of the New York City Public Library, who hinted of the other versions of several fairy tale book and historical figures that would most likely come to Storybrooke.

He also zapped all the magic away in New York City, but he used the power of hundreds of penny wishes to bring it back.

It would be interesting to find out where does Storybrooke stands on their magical status because apparently, the Evil Queen still has some.

once upon a time

It is also unclear how the Evil Queen was able to resurrect herself, especially after Regina already crushed her heart. So is the Evil Queen already become immortal or did she use a spell on herself to survive anything that shall be thrown on her?

The Evil Queen has killed the Dragon, played by Tzi Ma, and it is almost sure that her next stop is Storybrooke where she wants to seek revenge against Regina.
