We’ve already seen Emma going through quite a lot of trouble in “Once Upon a Time”, and the show’s writers definitely aren’t making the character’s life easy. And yet, it looks like the trouble is far from over for her, as we’re apparently going to see her facing a very difficult realization in the new season of the show.
Reports indicate that the character will have to deal with something that will change her life forever, and there are some implications that it could even affect her place in the overall plot. What exactly this revelation could be is hard to tell of course, as we don’t expect the producers to spoil that surprise before the air date of the new season, but that hasn’t stopped fans from guessing.
Those who’re concerned about Emma won’t have to wait long to find out what will happen to her, as apparently the new season will kick off with a story that puts her in a difficult situation. It’s not clear how many episodes it will take to resolve the issues around Emma, but it does sound like it could be a more central part of the season as a whole.
Some fans were not very happy at this suggestion however, claiming that Emma was already put through enough and the writers should take it easier on the character. As long as she comes out fine in the end though, we can’t really say that the story is moving in a bad direction.

Also, what will Mr. Hyde do in the upcoming episodes? There have been rumors that the character could become even more central to the plot, and now that he’s in control of Storybrooke, we might see the writers focusing on him more directly. It’s about time for some deeper exposition of certain aspects of his personality, so that definitely wouldn’t be a bad move.
We don’t know if the producers plan to keep him around once the heroes have managed to regain control of Storybrooke, and it’s possible that his character is being used only temporarily, until his part of the story is told.
There are some followers of the show who have apparently grown quite attached to the character of Mr. Hyde, so it would be sad to see him go once his story is over. Hopefully the producers are planning to keep him around in some way, as he can certainly add a lot to the presentation of the show.
