Once Upon A Time has been one of those series that have been kept the viewers hooked to the plot. The retelling of fairy tales has worked for the show. The show completed a hundred episodes at the end of the 5th season and was soon renewed for season 6.
The ratings of season 5 came across as close to a negative end. But the renewal came about as a surprise. The 6th season also has the Evil Queen back along with the residents of the Land of Untold Stories come to Storybrooke. This raises the possibilities of the plot having many additions to its narrative.
The 6th season of the fairy tale based series started on the 16th of September, 2016. The characters that have been added to the plot since the beginning of this season include the Disney star Aladdin, Captain Nemo, Princess Jasmine, and Tom Sawyer in keeping with the addition made in season 5.
The first episode of season 6 titled “The Saviour” includes Mr. Hyde controlling the town of Storybrooke and Regina, and Zelena becomes roommates.
The latest episode that was telecast was the 6th episode called “Dark Waters.” In this episode the Evil Queen plots on stealing Snow White’s heart. In a few images that appeared in the next episode titled “Heartless” shows that both, Snow White and Prince Charming are at the mercy of Regina’s alter ego. This is so because she either wants Snow White and Prince Charming to surrender their heart, or she would destroy the town.
The network synopsis talks about a magical sapling in existence which adds to the curiosity of the watching the next episode. This “sapling” is speculated to play a role in helping Emma Swan save her parents. The sapling is where the first true love sparked from.
The next episode is also shown to jump between the past and present of the heroic couple. The flashbacks revolve around the Enchanted Forest which gives a hint of an underlying way to save Snow White and Prince Charming. Snow White’s bandit past comes to light here.
In another part of the episode, Belle, who is the soon-to-be mother, receives a friendly advice from Zelena. What the advice hasn’t been clear in summary. But, it is speculated to be the truth behind her estranged husband’s whereabouts. It is shown that Emma Swan will take the help of Captain Hook and Henry Mills to save Stroybrooke.
