This will be shown in some very important scenes in the new season, according to reports, and the writers have apparently been paying special attention to the idea of helping these two characters get along better and improve the link that exists between them.
Which is good, because some fans have been calling for that exactly, and it looks like many people enjoy seeing the interactions between Emma and Regina, even when they are not exactly pleasant and positively-noted.
Last but not least, something that should sound interesting to most fans is the revelation that the season is going to feature auxiliary characters a bit more heavily, and the producers are apparently trying to explore their personalities a bit more than the previous seasons have managed to.
There’s certainly nothing wrong with that, as some fans have indeed reported that they would like to see a little more action with the show’s supporting characters. Whether or not the producers will explore them in any serious way or if it will just be done over a couple of episodes in the middle of the season isn’t yet clear, but any kind of broadening of the personalities of those characters should prove quite good for the show overall, and it can definitely benefit from something like that.
