‘Once Upon a Time’ Season 5 Episode 20 to Focus on a New Period in Emma Swan’s Life!

As the TV series moves to its Season 5 finale, fans are already happy knowing that “Once Upon a Time” will have a Season 6.

ABC actually renewed the show for a sixth season while it was still on its 90-day hiatus and even before its Season 5 midseason premiere was aired on the network on March 6.

It was actually series co-creator Adam Horowitz who proudly made the announcement of the show’s renewal on his Twitter account when he posted early in March that he is thrilled to announce that “Once Upon a Time” has been picked up for Season 6. Horowitz also thanked ABC and the show’s most extraordinary fans for the important milestone for the show.

The early announcement of the show’s renewal comes barely two weeks after ABC shook up its upper management, replacing entertainment chief Paul Lee with Channing Dungey.

“Once Upon a Time” is averaging five million viewers per episode and a 1.6 demo rating, which was down by 25% from its Season 4 figures. However, counting the Live+7 DVR playback, the number grow to 7.3 million viewers and 2.6 demo rating, making it the sixth and fifth, in those categories respectively among ABC TV dramas.
